Rena olson

community arts & engagement manager

Rena first came to Yakona in 2018 as a photographer and has been deepening her relationship with Yakona’s land and wildlife ever since. Her work at Yakona Nature Preserve & Learning Center reflects her diverse work history: tourism facilitator, internet marketing specialist, reputation management, public relations, and most recently, communications manager for a coast-wide conservation coalition. Rena has also been successful as a visual artist, spanning many different mediums. Her nature photography has been used extensively to promote Oregon coast conservation, citizen science, tourism, and hospitality, as well as gracing the walls of her clients’ homes. Rena intrinsically connects with nature, enabling her to teach others how to form heart-based connections of their own. She loves coffee, losing herself in the wilds, and chasing clouds.
