Johnnie received her degree in Humanities and Art History in 2016 from BYU and spent the next 6 years in Utah teaching elementary education, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). In 2020, she became a reptile educator and husbandry coordinator with Clint’s Reptiles.  Johnnie moved to Southern Oregon in 2022 to become an education programs manager at ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum in Ashland, managing summer camps, field trips, and community outreach. She joined the Yakona team at the end of June and is so excited to advocate for environmental stewardship and conservation. When not working, you can find her going on adventures with her dog, June Bug, painting, and building Legos.
